Shooting macro on a freedive....this time it worked

Our assignment for "unusual perspective" was up, down, in , out. Immediately My mind popped up the image of Sea anemones, their tentacles reaching into the frame Grabbing the viewer like a sarlacc in the great pit of Carcoon

However in the past freediving macro has been a HUGE Bane in my freediving, The 100mm macro lens is just way to slow and challenging to compose while on a breath hold floating around. The few times I have tried, I have come out of the water completely pissed!

So why should this time be any different?

two words...

"Focus ring" I'll be focusing the lens myself

Other then the ripping current in the Washington channel the shoot went surprisingly well.
